Most in medicine ---don't know of the relatioship of the adrenal cortex to the posterior pituitary gland. An underfunctioning posterior pituitary gland produces many things---some forms of high pressure, type 2 diabetes, increased tooth decay, susceptibility to infection, depression and manic depression, some weight problems, hair on the upper lip in women,double chin in men, bald spot at the back of the head in men with the baldness gene, fertility problems, spontaneous abortion, some forms of periodontal disease, some acne problems in teenagers, osteoporosis, frequency of ion plus most all of the problems that go with manic depression including .
